A Common Sydney Octopus (Octopus tetricus) sitting on the sea floor. It is raising one of its arms and is blocking the camera. You cannot see its eyes as a result. The octopus appears to partially below a small ledge, and its arms are reaching backwards under the ledge. It mantle also appears to be under there. The octopus is a mix of different greys with orange on the underside of its arms. You can see the double row of suckers on its arm that it is raising, but they are out of focus.

I just loved the colours of this Haigh's Porcelain Crab (Porcellanella haigae) nestled into a sea pen (pennatulacea) where they exclusively live. Not my favourite species of porcelain crab but they scrub up okay. #underwaterphotography #scuba #marinelife 🦀

A Broadclub Cuttlefish (Ascarosepion latimanus) floating while a snorkeler is next to it, watching it. The snorkeler is on the left and the cuttlefish is on the right. The cuttlefish has two of its arms raised with all of its other arms together and going down, making it look as it is gesturing as it is speaking. The cuttlefish has a dark orange colour, although its bottom is pale. It has a wavy pattern on its mantle. The snorkeler is wearing a blue long sleeved shirt and pink, almost tie dye, swim trunks. Their left arm (photo right) is is touching the sandy sea floor with the other arm raised slightly above the sea floor and palm facing camera. This also looks like they are gesturing. Their torso and legs are floating up, and there is a 90 degree bend at the knees to make their calves go up. Although the sea floor is sandy, there are lumps of coral around and even a yellow fish in the bottom left.

A California two-spot octopus (Octopus bimaculoides) squishing itself down in a reef. Because of how it is squishing itself down, it almost looks flat, whit its head especially not protruding like how an octopus's head normally does. The octopus is mostly beige with some thin black lines that look like cracks in stone. It has orange on its suckers, around its eyes and in some spots. It has some black on the bottom of its arm. One of it's eyes spots is visible, a large black circle with a blue ring. It is surrounded by sea urchins and a sea anemone.

Aw, man... my octopus deflated!

A Southern Bobtail Squid (Euprymna tasmanica) swimming, flapping its fins. Two of its arms (no its centre most arms, maybe the next pair over) are raised up with their tips curled, giving the bobtail squid a very cute and excited look. Its other arms are going down and are curving backward. The bobtail squid's flesh has a pale purple colour and is covered in black and gold chromatophores, with some blue, cyan, red and gold iridescent areas. The background is dark and out of focus.

Its honestly unfair that bobtail squids get to be this cute. I mean, how are you supposed to compete with this?!
