As a reminder:
YES Dungeons of DUSK is coming to mobile and
YES it really plays like this
That fight is peak and I will not hear otherwise.

Started a replay of Resident Evil 4 remake and it's funny how Leon's movements and animations are comparatively grounded and tactical, and then in Requiem he's just straight up pulling out gun fu nonsense. By the time he's reached his 50s dude knows he's invincible and is just having fun.
It's such a weirdly sweet twist for a RE game. I like it.
I'd be jumping in for a second run if it hadn't given me a burning desire to go back and replay RE2make and RE4make as well.
Grace's care center segment was definitely the highlight and might legitimately be one of the best levels of the entire series, but there was a lot to enjoy throughout the rest of the game as well, and some moments that were so ridiculous/hype/funny that I was actually literally laughing out loud.
I'm sad that so many people apparently found the Raccoon City segment disappointing and bland, cause I thought it was great, and the desolate atmosphere was a perfect fit. Really the only part I wasn't a fan of was the orphanage. Everything else was 10/10
FINALLY finished Requiem last night.
It's decidedly a greatest hits album rather than an evolution, and would probably be a really bad entry point for newcomers, but as a long time fan I thought it was an incredible game. Best thing I've played since the last Resident Evil game.
Yeah RE1 remake and RE4 were my introductions so I've never had a problem with the whole survival horror vs action horror thing. To me RE is both. There's something comforting about Requiem knowingly going to both extremes, like "yeah we know what we're about."
Yup, da jump
If you were on oboarded during the Leon suplexing guys and Chris punching boulders era, it is the most back we have ever been.
Ok so yeah, there is a specific jaw-droppingly silly and hype moment near the end of Requiem and I think a person's reaction to it could probably accurately predict what your first RE game was.

We've added even more options to Dungeons of DUSK with Demo Update #2.
Keep the feedback coming and spread the word about DUSK RPG!

I'm not sure tbh. Theoretically it might be worth a shot.
Basically yeah
I have no idea what any of that means
That's definitely an option but I don't know a lot about runtime mesh generation
I'm testing this as a way to give a texture volume without needing a bespoke model. There are going to be a quite a few weapons.
Theoretically it's only one draw call since the planes are all in a single mesh, and it's cutout transparency so it can still do depth culling.
That's the theory at least. We'll see how it works out lol
This is to save time in the long run since there are going to be dozens and dozens of different weapons. I'm trying this as a simple way to make them look passable in the world without needing a unique model for each one.
Severian is going to have a heart attack when he logs on and sees what's #5 in trending.
I don't know how voxels work so behold, my solution to make flat gun textures look like they have 3d depth
(it's a bunch of double sided planes)
It has a similarly long intro but it's decent enough, and what comes afterward is amazing
Not sure, but I will say that I bounced off 7 at the time but really enjoyed 8, loved 2make and 4make, and have had a blast with Requiem
I mean yeah, the island part of the original game is arguably the """worst""" part (it's still great, just not as great as the village or castle)
Hahaha I feel like I didn't explain clearly enough that it was a "just for fun how I feel at the moment" list, not anything that's supposed to be objective or finalized.
Like, 4, 7, re2make, and re4make are all good places to start.
To be honest the continuity is convoluted and messy at best and there are multiple points of entry for new players throughout. You don't need to start anywhere near the beginning if you don't want to.
