Like the ammount of time we waste talking about what goes viral omg, I love memes but sometimes is like they feed us VOID so we then spread MORE VOID in conversations the real world and everything turns into a big parade

It is such a simple reality and at the same time we don't realize the reach they have.
I suspended my personal IG account a month ago, and I can say that obviously my creativity and curiosity for new things increased, but I am also now more capable of stepping out of frame in any random conversation

Their grasp on ppl's private lives was very limited, then TV came but they still didn't have the ability to reach everyone on a personal level. But now we have algotithms catered to fit our individualities perfectly, they are able to mold the headspace of anyone who spends at least an hour scrolling

Thinking about how big corps and powerful people realized long ago that they cannot change the "real world" as much as they wished to, so now they are putting all their effort and energy in influencing the digital world, which A LOT of people interpret as objective reality
