im a masto user as well who ditched twitter as soon as elon even joked about buying it so i think too my standards are high enough 😅👍

that is a bit of a controversy right now sadly. but so far in my experience it is still much better than twitter, with better access to moderation tools imo

but i the amount of misinformation these days is alarming and scary i think regardless of how you feel. its getting more common and hard to discern and even though i learned skills to pick that out not everyone has

and even if what you see isn't misinfo, it's still scary to have to doubt everything

oh- the thing that alarmed me was primarily the discourse around it and the videos of government officials acting weird about it all. I dont mean I was putting on a tinfoil hat or anything.
