It's highly unlikely to be the mad cow form of the disease. It's never been identified in any Australian cases. There are 3 other ways he could have developed the disease. But yeah it's a twist to go out with a prion disease. We were not expecting that. Not that any of this process has been fun.
It seems he is at the late stages already. So my guess is only a couple of months at most. But i'd like an expert opinion.
