Do they think people have literally no memory of past events at all?
Do they think people have literally no memory of past events at all?
Yeah itβs just entirely nonsensical. A narrative created by people who donβt understand what theyβre watching
Massive appreciation for Havertz today.
His sub made a massive difference towards Arsenal's ability to grab a foothold in this match.
Pressing and competing for aerial duels seems to matterβ¦
Where Hugo says heβs using data, when he erm very much isnβt as what heβs saying isnβt backed up by any of it is a great example of Arsenal derangement syndrome
The Iranian regime was awful and if it was to fall and be replaced by something less corrupt and that treats its citizens better that would be good. Itβs just entirely unhinged to try bomb your way to that outcome when anything could happen
Yep, think that will inevitably eat into their ability to play well in the league, they have to run the gauntlet to make the semis let alone the final. Chelsea away is a big game
Of course, or at least itβs about doing things people wonβt make people vote for you. But I think creating, for example, a more logical tax system isnβt a rightward shift. Think they could theoretically improve the economy by intervening more and raising taxes (I.e., overtly tacking left)
Yeah I just think we are at the point of the season where you can just ride your luck all of the way to the end. It wouldnβt surprise me if they do drop points (entirely expect it at this point) but they might not drop an amount that reflects their true level
Thatβs a policy question and I am not sure a rightward shift helps on the economy (think itβs more complex than that)
City continue to not play very well, but it doesnβt matter much at this point in the season. They are very clearly not the juggernaut of previous seasons but does it matter? Less convinced
Why move rightward on the economy? Is there much of a voter base in them moving in that direction?
Something thatβs fairly stunning about the people at the top of this government is they got there by (correctly) preaching the need to convince the electorate you have not the one you wantβ¦and yet here we are
Can see them struggling to accept that the various assumptions underpinning their understanding of how to win have fallen entirely apart. Itβs no different to the Tories at the end, accepting those assumptions are wrong is too damaging to their sense of self
There is also little reason based on his stint as PM to suggest he would have been great if he carried on. Financial crisis didnβt show that he was a great PM, it actually saved his legacy as PM.
This post is the single best advert for the fact that proper local journalism matters.
If Jimβs team hadnβt put the pieces together quickly, this wouldnβt have been stopped.
You can also read the text in English here: www.bundesliga.com/en/bundeslig... - maybe the best thing about this is exactly how specfic he gets about both the nature of and the solution to the problem.
Yeah and I think we just became a lot worse at stopping them play, thatβs what stands out to me. They could progress the ball where they couldnβt before
Even when you look after they scored we were alright
Pass completion is lower for us after 65mins and we go from completing twice as many passes as them to less
Started looking into when the game turned on Wednesday and itβs pretty clearly when Eze and Jesus came on. Just very stark how much we struggled to keep the ball and perhaps more importantly stop them on the ball
Think so much of this season can be seen through the prism of an attack which is missing its three best players in Saka, Odegaard and Havertz. Theyβve not been fit or at their best at all this season. The summer should have lessened the reliance upon them, it didnβt.
Or Gyokeres
I would not pick four direct players in attack against a deep block
It would be good if we passed it a bit more rather than just whipping it in for the worst aerial threat in the league
very much a game where an early set piece goal would be welcome
But we have options to balance the attack. Think Arteta needs to better accept that itβs horses for courses. It wonβt be surprising if Martinelli and Gyok struggle
That front four is entirely incoherent against a deep block. Arteta doesnβt place value on the balance of attacking profiles, has shown that repeatedly this season
That attack is mental, in a bad way
Just think itβs been obvious for a while this project has a clear ceiling. Their membership is nuts and far removed from the public on issues where there is unified opinion. Their policy agenda is paper thin and confused (even by Westminster standards) and on the economy they have nothing to say.
