Took 10 days off from the gym to heal up small injuries, but going back to the gym after a gap sucks so much I sometimes wonder if just grinding through injuries would suck less. I know at my age the answer is "don't work out if something feels messed up". But a little voice is like "but why not"

I made this monstrosity by combining a bunch of baking concepts/recipes to make a pumpkin pie with the crunchy part of the pecan pie as the goop part of that pie gives me the ick.

The weirdest part of going to the gym regularly after 40 is realizing my body breaks down so easily that I literally HAVE to put a week off for maintenance every 4-8 weeks and its not a 'feeling tired' its literally tweaking random body parts to the point I need to week to feel whole. 🫠
