Trip over to Orlestone Forest to find the Large Tortoiseshell and a very successful one it was with views of at least 6 moving around the forest .

The golden hour of light a Great Crested Grebe at Stodmarsh
Great to see Red Squirrel at Loch Leven, wish we had them down South ,instead of the invasive Grey Squirrel .
Found Ring-necked Duck .Got Lifers Surf and Black Scoter ,Blue-winged Teal also Black-winged Kite in Norfolk on way up .99 Species all told in the trip.

Day out at Hythe ,Hampshire with shb000.bsky.social see the Boat-tailed Grackle.Its probably a wild bird that has been ship-assisted rather than an escapee from captivity that has crossed the Atlantic from the USA east coast to Southampton.
