I think this is like the conversation in the new Superman movie about a fictitious band, The Mighty Crabjoys. They were not punk enough for Lois, but Superman liked them just fine.

I agree it was never known as her show. As for her being a main character, I guess she was. To me the show was just about the kids fighting monsters & the adults were always secondary & I'm mostly talking about young people not knowing her today, not anyone that grew up watching her movies.
I think most people didn't even know she was on the show till way later. A lot of people don't even know who she is today.
What would be better is a shorter cut. Cut out all the obviously stretched out parts that were only put in their to extend watching hours for Netflix.
