We’ve been seriously looking at houses over the past year. About 1-2 months ago we decided to step back for personal reasons. But like THE house got listed this week. We just saw it. It is what we want. We just don’t know if the time is right anymore.

It is a single family home and another multi family home sharing a driveway and land. We would be doing the single family. It seems the multi family isn’t on the market.

If the advice is stay the hell away from this, that would also be helpful to know now.

Asking for advice: We have a home we are interested in that’s part of a larger plot of land that needs to be divided as part of the sale. While the seller is responsible, if we love it we don’t know what we’re getting into.

Update: He ended up making a list moment trip to the US for personal reasons and since he was going to a city with a passport office, he got an fast track renewal appointment with 72 hour turnaround. There were a ton of available appointments. New passport is in hand and he returns to Germany soon!

To me this is SO GERMAN. People here cannot fathom spending less than a minute of their lives assisting someone else to move their van less than a meter so that cars, buses, trucks, and traffic can start moving again.

After watching a few pushes, I decided it was time to help. I put on my blinkers, turned off the car, and strode over. They were happy for another body and I was hopeful that I would be helpful. Realistically, I didn’t think I’d make a difference in pushing but that maybe others . . .
