Was lucky enough to get one of the playmats during a family visit. Japan really loves the Wandering Emperor.
It's been a bit since I've posted. Been busy with work obv but also I am needing to move so I am having to find a new place so yeaaaaaaah
But in the meantime Endfield has been a huge chunk of time, as well as Helldivers, and as always, Magic the Gathering.

My final dinner for this Japan trip. Sat down at a local izakaya here in Mejiro and took it easy. It's been long, yet short. I am gonna miss Japan again.

That first bite of food is going to taste so, so good. Enjoy it!
Hakata hot pot Oyama, over in Okayama station. Lunch set which had the motsu nabe (think thick offal stew) noodles, beef strips in a sour marinade and basashi (horse sashimi). Horse was clean and just fatty, like a less fishy toro. The stew was killer. As it's under the tracks it can be noisy fyi!

Great vibes, the bartender was so friendly. Apparently some folks even played commander on New Years. At least worth a peek in Kyoto.

In Okayama city sits Tsukemen Taisho. A one man operation that serves his normal or tomato Tsukemen, you pay upfront, cash only, and no English menu. What comes is springy noodles with a thick fishy porky broth. The owner also recommends the Indonesian chili powder as an addition. It's very good.
