OHMYGYOD CONGRATS
It really does! It's been about a couple of decades since I've watched W&G, so I had totally forgotten about Feathers!
AHHH, that makes us feel even more lucky!π₯° ...And I went on an image search to see if I could find/guess the pic you meant, and I knew that was it as soon as I saw it! Gee, that's beauuuuutiful! Thanks for making me aware of it. x
I really am so happy with the setting! It adds a fitting dreamlike feel to it all (since my memory's so crap), haha.
The way I see it, when so much of what's going on otherwise is absolute poo, there's no harm in holding on to some happy!
ALT text: burst of photos as a gif, of OP, her sister, Alex Horne, & Greg Davies in a barroom that's prettily lit by a netting of xmas lights on the ceiling & 2 hanging red foil hearts. The gif is stutter-ey & no one moves much. Most noticeable, Alex's expression & the hand coming out of my elbow.
I had added alt text but it didn't save due to it being a gif, I suppose? Anyway, add your own soundtrack. My computer decided on John, I'm Only Dancing by David Bowie, and I didn't mind it.
π€ Two Patricks and two professional Cutie Patooties! π₯°
*schedules the same post for every other week* For morale purposes, you see! π€£
I swear, I *DO* have non-Taskmaster things I want to post, but π€·ββοΈ
Tomorrow will be two weeks since NYC1 Taskmaster Live on Stage. It's definitely too early to be doing anniversary posts, but my phone wanted to do this w/our pics. So here's a brief but inspiring animated silent film. It's not for everyone, but I find it riveting. Five stars. Endlessly rewatchable.
Hey you. Youβre good. Keep going.
I miss Taskmaster Live America. π«£
And HOME. Before I retreat back into my isolation cave of lurker-iness, one more post. π
I'm pretty sure he can't really walk in them, so it's "display only", I think. π
The platform definitely helps with the height, but snow boots they are not! π We've seen resale Fluevogs available in the UK for quite good prices sometimes. Maybe worth a look at some point if you're interested!
Yeah, I definitely need to do that. π
π
Just like in any fandom, I assume there are badduns around as well, but I feel that the show really does attract generally kind and accepting folk. ππ₯°
"(1 of 1)". Nope. That's not correct. π "(1 of 2)", please. Edit Button would be loooovely here.
I have no way of contacting you without bothering someone, but if you'd prefer I take mine down, please let me know and I'll happily do so!
That's a very good idea. Good thing we collect cool vintage frames to make stained glass for, but never get around to actually doing it! π
Exhibit 2 π
Dr Alex Horne wearing the Diana Revenge Dress, stockings, stilletoes, and a colorful, silly propeller cap.
He DOES! π
On the left, legs from the knee down are shown standing against a large pile of ice, slush, and snow. The boots being worn (Fluevog Zigs, from circa early 2000s) are a bronze-gold colored leather, have 4" heels, and are not suitable for walking around New York City in these conditions.
Mission (Task?) successful! π
I don't know why, but Bluesky just seems less intimidating, haha. Also, I can post some things that I wouldn't exactly want some of my FB friends to see (like, for example, the booty shorts clip π€£). I love our pics with them SO MUCH. Thank you for sharing in our excitement!!! π€
Mars! I feel the need to thank you again for the ticket to NYC1. My sister used that one, and it was a great unimpeded view. AND, even if it hadn't been, we're just so happy to be there, and that was partly because of you!
