I think the D.I.Y thing is really important for me and people without much cash. It builds community coz you have to ask around for tips, tricks, parts & tools. Also, it's satisfying knowing you did something yourself. Being a courier I'd imagine it's essential!
Do you go down there? I like the way he built it up. He comes across very well to me. There's a touch of knowing he's cool but it isn't fake - He doesn't try. Of course I've no way of knowing. Seems down to earth. The crowd in his videos seems very natural as well.
My thinking is, if the Spray.Bike fails after a year or two, I'll take it to Kwaka & powder coat it. It's a cheap hybrid bike after all
Yeah. Inflation is crazy. I had a frame done for £10 on the side by a mate in the 80s 😂😂😂. Seriously, though, £400-£500 for powder coating is nuts. It can cost £200 here in Japan but you can get it done in Kawasaki for £75-£100.
I think it must depend on curing time & how well you do the job. Some people rush their painting.
I've heard about Montana but didn't check to see if it's available in Japan. Do you think it's better than Spray.Bike? I'm interested to see how durable the Spray.Bike Keirin will turn out to be. Some say it's OK, some say to clear coat it, it looks fantastic. Some say clear coat will melt it .

A gazebo is a good idea. You can put tarps up on three sides for paint jobs so paint doesn't go everywhere & you've got ventilation. Also, it's nice to work outside - you can leave it open for regular mechanics. You could even sell bits & pieces on the side as folks pass by! Well worth getting one!
It's one of those albums that gets better the longer you let it play & listen to it. It's actually the record that gave the name 'crust' to the Crust Punk genre in the UK. A lot of bands were doing similar things but this defined it. I think hell bastard is an appropriate curse for the times!!🎸🎸🎸🚴👍
