For now, I’m one person that dreams of a better world for all of us. We have to work together to make it happen. A single stone can begin an avalanche. Longer writings here - substack.com/@thenoblebrightproject - always free
At least I'm not the only person on the planet who understands this. Be nice if everyone else would realize it.
I don't suppose anyone has good, happy, or uplifting news lately?
I feel like that ship sailed when they started murdering fisherman in the Caribbean and Atlantic. I'm very concerned what's going to happen when they inevitably order American soldiers to shoot at us also.
To be fair, they're killing people here with alarming regularity also. Who knows what ICE's actually body count is by this point, with how many people have just vanished. Who's to say most of those taken are ever actually sent somewhere besides a mass grave or something.
I wish people would stop pretending these assholes give any kind of crap about legality. They're doing whatever they want without regard for law or consequence, and will keep doing so until they are stopped. Laws only matter if enforced. Who's arresting them?
Right? I've been losing my mind since his first term. Honestly regretting studying history and philosophy at this point. I'd rather have gotten a lobotomy.
I'd be ecstatic just to believe someone actually has a plan instead of whatever the hell is happening. Do we still pretend midterms are going to save us?
Until they actually start arresting people talking is useless. Judges can cry all they want, but the government obviously does feel contempt for them.
It would be nice if someone acted like there's a plan to actually finish this. What's gonna happen when November gets here and midterms fail to save us? Are we just waving signs until someone starts shooting?
Why does anybody believe this? Midterms doing anything would require a government that obeys the law, or the ability to enforcement said law against the government. Do we have either of those right now?
I still can't believe our armed forces have just rolled over and let these criminal jackasses have the run of the place. That they're just sitting there while leaders that have earned their ranks and positions are removed left and right to make room for cronies and sycophants. I'd be embarrassed.
I wish something would happen to give me hope this will end peacefully in the year. I wish someone could tell me how you legally end an illegal government when they control all of the systems that should hold them accountable.
Why would impeachment matter at this point when nobody's going to arrest anyone? He can do literally anything he wants with zero consequences because the DOJ and military are complicit.
I wish I could believe that anyone is going to face real, meaningful consequences for their evil.
Not much good to be found, but the sentiment is nice.
I wish it felt like any of this mattered in the grand scheme of things. Nothing anyone has done so far is going to prevent what they're trying to do. They aren't going give up power, and they aren't going arrest themselves.
I wish it was possible to speak to someone who could honestly answer my questions. I wish someone could reassure me that it's not as bad as I fear. Are there any people with power who care about using it to help, instead of holding onto it at all costs?
It's really depressing that if we had a functioning world government run by real people we could eliminate resource scarcity and poverty within a generation, but instead we're trapped in cages by a class of child raping, sociopathic parasites. You know?
Hello world. Things still suck. Go figure. Anybody know who started the whole "just focus on your local community and don't worry about the big picture" thing? Because I want to punch them in the throat.
It's a shame we don't actually require elected officials to answer to their constituents and voters. If we could have no-confidence or return votes when needed it would probably have helped some of this by now.
Anybody else wonder what it's like to have a place and people that feel like home?
Constitution and Government reform are the things I think we absolutely MUST accomplish if we want to survive as a society. I wish more people would acknowledge this and work to figure it out. It's a subject I've been interested in for a while and have written about a bit.
America is The Bad Place pretending to be The Good Place.
How weird would it be if our government worked for the people who pay for it with our taxes, instead of whatever the fuck this is?
I wish I could overcome this feeling. After the last 6 months or so, it would be nice to feel important to someone, somewhere.
Gods above I'm tired of this malevolent idiocy.
- we could see something start coming together. We need to do more than just win an election that probably won't happen. We need to rebuild our entire nation. The federal government is dead and they're shitting on the Constitution. We need to replace and update all of it.
I really wish I knew. I've been slamming my face into that wall for months. We need some kind of real coordination and a new movement as large as possible. Social media is barely usable at this point for anything actually useful. Maybe if we could get all of the big protests orgs and other groups ->
