Given what we're learning about Perimenopause & when it starts to show up, & the Gifted Girls to undiagnosed ADHD/AuDHD/ adult pipeline I can't help but wonder how many mother/daughter relationships from the 90s/Early 2000s might have been salvaged with HRT, therapy and proper medical diagnosis
Ramadan Reminders for Teachers:
1. The basics: Islam is a global religion. Religious practices differ depending on cultural and historical traditions. Language and terminology also vary.
However, core beliefs (5 Pillars) are non-negotiable. That includes observing Ramadan.
In the sense that the numbers were above 80% those years specifically because it was him, and then dipped to their usual afterwards? Who knows
I tried talking to my brother but between his vote last election and this Hebrew Israelite foolishness I get too pissed off and my mother doesn't want it to be a permanent rift. (Know this wasn't directed at me, BTW) also, could it be that Obama's election was a number anomaly
Thirty-one House Republicans has announced that they are not seeking re-election this year. It's a good chance that before the midterm that MAGA MIKE might be out of the speakership if some of the Republicans step down before their term is up.
youtu.be/rC8djcewdY4?...
The real problem is that we have a president who is being blackmailed by Netanyahu and Putin.
Whatever it is, it must be pretty bad.
Why on earth would a GOP Congress go along with this?
The ultimate answer is money.
A thought. π‘ How come it's campaigning in every other community, but it's pandering when it comes to actually earning the Black vote? π€
Specifically married, middle class white women in the suburbs. Soccer moms, wine moms... these aren't single white women, white lesbians, or white women who work at the paper mill.
Where the fuck did this idea that it is not a politicians job to convince people to vote for them come from?
For my entire life, that has always been the basic, agreed upon task of anyone running for office. You have to convince voters.
I never saw this new sentiment until after 2016.

The fact is we'll have midterms. But we'll have to fight to make our vote count. There is no way they accept the results to come.
A cartoon of Pete Kefsbreath shouts at American flag-draped coffins: βSTOP TRYING TO EMBARASS THE PRESIDENT!β
I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.
Even if you are 100% convinced that Democracy is already dead and our votes won't count...
PLEASE VOTE ANYWAY!
I'm begging everyone. There is a critical mass of voter turnout that will be too big to fix.
Please vote, no matter how bleak it seems.
Now that Latinos are the largest minority in the US and with that comes an increase in political influence. Last week in Texas is proof of that. Talks of coalition building are happening, and all hands are needed on deck. But a house with no solid foundation will crash.
youtu.be/KjZJBoAK6bE?... I used to show this in my middle school Spanish classes because it gave a breakdown of the History of Latinos in the US. At minute 30 they begin to discuss the rise of tensions between Black and Latino communities (post Rodney King riots). Those tensions have only grown 1/
Yup
They wanna "Shady Pines" our elders (and while there can be a nuanced conversation about why they haven't yielded their seats, if we keep it a buck......a bag got fumbled because no one was there to pick up the torch)

BREAKING: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton calls for an investigation into Jeffrey Epsteinβs alleged foreign intelligence ties.
It really isnβt. People wouldnβt confront the racism and sexism in their own family tree, or neighborhoods.
Instead they vent on social media, blaming others for political outcomes they allowed.
Meanwhile the encouraged ignorance showed up and showed out. The rest of us suffer. America πΊπΈ
It's actually simple. Rich white men want more money and Obama scared them fascist...
What's complicated? An ignorant angry minority were lied to by professional liars, grifters & seditionists. They voted for the racist, bigoted, corrupt, sexual predator that is a convicted felon, Epstein bff, 6 time bankrupt 'businessman,' fake reality tv show 'star' and traitor to our country. π±π€π€¬
Not really.
A racist con man came along and told all the racists in the country that it was, in fact, a good thing to be a racist and they should be proud of their racism because otherwise, non-whites would become extinct.
Millions of racists in the country said "yeah, he's a con man but he's right"
Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. But right now, theyβre under attack.
Several Republican-controlled states have redrawn their congressional maps to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterm elections.
Honestly, some days I wish P44 never won because I knew there would be backlash, but to THIS level? Its now just tragic and sad
On threads it's a different story. A LOT of people are planning to sit that ticket out RN. They'll still vote, just not there.
The call is coming from inside the house.
