A tiny regret I have about my 1st book: I deferred any celebration (book release event, etc) because I was told an affordable paperback edition would be next year. For reasons unrelated to my book, that didn't happen for 7 years, & by then it felt too late.
Lesson learned: celebrate everything.

Yet their teachers must split their time/labor working elsewhere, just making ends meet.
A system where student and teacher loses. Designed in such a way on purpose by those in power.
thinking of all the students I’ve had through the years who became K-12 teachers.
Who deserve to be resourced, and properly supported, yet we live in a country that continuously diminishes the important work they do.
A country that actively defunds and devalues education.
