I just realized that I have been confusing English artist John Everett Millais (1829-1896) with French artist Jean-François Millet (1814-1875) and this has not helped my understanding of 19th c. Art History

So sorry I missed the performance of this tremendous CAT CIRCUS in 1888 starring "Boulanger" and "Blondin". Poor Boulanger's singed tail fur!
