My entire professional career I wrote and edited work for free. Social media and newsletters policy manuals grants stories scripts articles-- whatever else had words other people would see or hear.
I chalked it up to being part of the job. Now I realize I did two jobs and got paid for one.
Once upon a time, I taught kindergarten. Then I became the keeper of the school library. Now I help authors get their books on shelves.
