That Katya custom doll looks great! I agree that the original Barbie doll doesn't look like Kylie at all. I've seen people say that she looks more like Taylor Swift! I don't agree though. But I'm curious to see what other customs people make with the Kylie doll.

If that is true, then that's confusing. Like why couldn't they use the original Kira sculpt for Dana? She looks noticeably different. If it's a reproduction doll, she should look the same as the original doll. They haven't been marketed like they're "tribute" Barbies. I feel a bit sad about it.

I agree. I've heard people say that this particular Kira face sculpt has been used for Fashionistas that used the Kira face mold. I have some Kira Fashionistas so I'm curious to compare them with this doll. I definitely prefer the original face as well. Supposedly, only Dana's face is different. /1

I found the Dana repro face leak. It's on Instagram. The two faces definitely look different! I own Dana & Dee Dee only. I agree, I would love to see them with cassettes! Even though there is a cassette revival, kids wouldn't know what they are. I wish they'd re-release the Rockers fashions too.

People really want Diva & Derek to turn up. I really hope that they do! I saw a leak somewhere for Dana's face & admittedly it does decidedly look different to the original. I'll see if I can find it again but I can't remember where I saw it. But yeah, I worry about the quality as well. :-(

Yes, this is a repro for the 40th Anniversary for Barbie & the Rockers. Mattel Creations did a poll last year or late 2023 (I can't exactly remember) to vote for which 3 dolls to be remade. Barbie, Dana & Dee Dee won that poll. All 5 should be made though! There are rumours about a 4th doll! /1

I agree. I managed to get my hands on a barbiestyle doll for $80AUD last year. I don't know how much they retailed here in Australia originally but that price is the cheapest I've seen for one. I'm still after the barbiestyle Lea/Kayla doll but she's always more than $200AUD, that's so expensive!

One of my grails is Barbie Black & White Collection from 2016 & I've been thinking to buy a 65th Anniversary Barbie (for the dress) & a 2021 Lunar New Year (because she's also Mari) to "make" my own version. But yeah, otherwise making your own version of grail dolls isn't easy or cheap!

Users on Reddit were saying that they'd like to see this but with Barbie dressed up as a magical girl or a fairy. I need Mattel to do that now because I want to see that too!

They were like $2 on clearance at Sportsgirl & there were silver & gold ones. They're supposed to attach onto shoes & shoelaces but I thought they'd look good on my dolls instead. The silver ones look so good on Madison! Kmart Aus has charms & jewelry making stuff, could use that for dolls too.

I also don't like that the Holiday Barbies look like they're missing an accessory. A bracelet or a necklace would have also looked nice too. On a personal note, I would have liked to have seen the Mari sculpt as part of 2026's Holiday lineup. Jia looks gorgeous though, as well as everyone else.

2026's dress definitely looks better than 2025's dress. I'm in the camp of people wanting a different coloured dress; I would love to see a green dress! Mattel hasn't had a green Christmas dress in over a decade at this point. Even silver would be alright too. We need a switch up from red & gold! /1

That's completely understandable! Their legs are so long. I got my first Hi Glamm doll in a bundle of dolls, not knowing anything about them. But then I grew to like them, so I wanted to get a friend for the first one!

As a non Monster High fan, I do like the look of these dolls & I LOVE how diverse they are. Would I buy one? Admittedly I'm not sure yet but only because of proportion preferences. I do own 2 Hi Glamm dolls which fit some Monster High outfits so they could share. I've got to think about it!
