Atklāti sakot, mani patīkami pārsteidza mans īsais ceļojums uz Lietuvu pagājušā gadā. Vienā visai centrālā grāmatnīcā Kauņā bija tikai viens plaukts grāmatām svešvalodās, viss pārējais bija lietuviešu valodā. Ceturtdaļa bija tulkota literatūra, bet pārējo sarakstījuši vietējie autori.
