Dr. John Hinds, aka "The Flying Doctor," rode one of the world's fastest ambulances. Irish Road Racing has some of the fastest, longest and most dangerous motorcycle races in the world. Dr. Hinds followed racers on his superbike loaded with medical equipment, hitting 340 kmph (210 mph) to get to injured riders in time, and saved countless lives. In 2015, he was killed while responding to a crash. He was 37. Thousands of bikers joined his funeral motorcade. A year later, an air ambulance was launched, the helicopter named after his callsign, Delta 7.
