How do we have a conversation about what we want our world to look like with talking about what is wrong with it?
I truly believe we continued to put so much focus on Trump/MAGA, etc that it gave them so much power and attention. And look what happened. Imagine if we put that much energy into what we WANTED instead of speaking so much about what we DIDN’T? There IS a difference. But how?
As 2024 comes to a close, I am once again evaluating where to place my attention. I am desperate to speak into existence the world and issues I WANT to see. But how can I do that without also bringing attention, focus and energy to things and people I don’t want??
Same…but I guess my mind has been a lot more lately on the history of this country given Trump’s rhetoric and the fact that he’s going back to the White House. And just with Thanksgiving tomorrow, I just find that kind of talk so infuriating.
Anyone else think given Trump’s deportation promise…that we can FINALLY stop “celebrating” the story of the pilgrims breaking bread with the “Indians” (read: Native Americans/or as I like to say THE PEOPLE WHO WERE ALREADY HERE!!!!)
