oh i didn't even know that was a thinggggggg only thing is then my timeline will be completely dead cus everyone i follow mostly only reposts stuff and don't make many original posts... i wanna see the fun reposts of art and animals just not the headwrecking stuff π
if bluesky had a turn off retweets feature like twitter does...
stopped using bluesky as much cus it's so miserable on here lol... when i first started using it more it was mostly nice art or fun things but now most of my timeline is just drudgery and world events (99% american so doesn't even apply to me). couldn't be arsed

Just in case your geography ever gets confused: Scotland lies on the border between Westmeath and Offaly

i think it's been eating the crayfish too - i found a few dead crayfish in the water where it looked like their shell had been pulled up and their backs eaten but the rest left behind. i imagine a mink wouldn't leave so much behind and the heron always leaves the shells along the top of the bank
any info i'm finding online says that bank voles have colonised the south/southwest of ireland and i'm not sure how outdated that is but i don't know if it's of any specific note that we have them this far up in the midlands. there's been signs of them for years i've just only now actually seen one
i also saw a BANK VOLE!!! i think. im finding conflicting information on whether water voles exist in ireland or not but bank voles definitely seem to.. never seen one before but it shot up past me through the water so fast & disappeared into the bank. too small and agile in the water to be a rat
hard at work
came across so many white clawed crayfish in this part of the river :] they've always been there but i've never seen so many at once
i went for a walk down the fields this evening and in a pine nest some ways from the house there was a young buzzard calling out and gliding around testing its wings.... :')
