One thing that is special about the game - and why I draw the VotV comparison - is that you get to slowly and methodically claim a hostile and mysterious space. I'm thinking about how to build renewables, route cables, and clear lanes for forklift traffic - all while surviving threats.

The Last Caretaker is one of the best games I've played in a long time. The ambience, world building, writing, level design, graphics, mystery, gameplay loop, ocean simulation, and sound design are all very good.

It evokes parts of Subnautica, Fallout 4, Voices of the Void, and Half-Life 2.

I want to play a video game where you fix this room.

It improves on Minecraft's aesthetics, gameplay loop, combat, world generation, juice, and sound.
