The federal government is murdering our neighbors in broad daylight and carrying out a mission of terror against the Twin Cities. Schools and businesses are closed and people are staying home because they’re afraid of ICE. This is America in 2026: at war against its own people.
Researchers can fight these attacks by spreading insights into how fed funded research works, and sharing how we serve the public with the fed dollars we work hard to earn.

A postdoc in my lab with a MOSAIC K99 was notified today that the program was terminated, no new funds to be awarded after this year. To revoke the pathway to independence award is so demoralizing for an early career researcher. I thought this might be coming but it still sucks.
