I so wish I understand... whatever it is his books are about. I get flashes of great insight and then struggle to put the whole things together.
I had to sit through a 3 hour corporate session on "mindfulness" once that was as far from centering and meditative practice as anything I've ever done. ;)
To be historically accurate/pedantic, a lot of the things now canonically considered "Buddhism" started the same way (with whatever the age's version of "new age and psychotherapy" were at the time) and got soaked in.
