It feels like you are asking to just print only a title and text on card because the only story that matters is you vs your opponent and that is weird, are you really that annoyed by all the branded lore talk ,Why ?

I treat it like a souls game lore ,you can go from a boss fight to a boss fight without understanding anything,but knowing the lore give a boss fight a context , the same is true for card game lore , it gives a context to a an otherwise card text
