Disagree. Transitional season, Jota, imbalanced squad - all true. But given the players, performances have been way below acceptable for months. The PL has changed enormously since last season, we’re miles off the pace. Hughes & Slot most responsible; Slot easier to replace. Also Alonso available…
This video highlights some of the problems. Slot is clearly very good, but I think he is below elite level. Last year he fine-tuned Klopp’s team really well, & had Salah in world-best form. Now Salah, Gakpo, Macca, Grav, even VVD - all below par. That many = coaching

They have the best scrum in the tournament, probably the best centre pairing, solid halfbacks, good finishers, a strong lineout, solid defence. The real question was: did they have the belief and temperament? The belief has been building - they knew they were the better side today
