I don’t think we talk enough about how the foundational, most aspirational premise of the AI industry is “what if there was a human-level intelligence that didn’t have human rights.” Like. One of the things I find fascinating about the "you need to learn to use AI or you'll be left behind" crowd is that everyone I know who has been forced to use it has said that the only way to use it in a way that actually results in time savings is to know the field extremely well.
