Great blue heron standing in a thick patch of water plants on a chilly but sunny afternoon in November. There is a wall of green reeds, swamp plants, and hints of cypress behind the heron, who is looking intently toward the right.
Inspired to share after seeing a few other great blue heron photos on here. My little contribution: A great blue heron along the West Pearl River in southern Louisiana just after Thanksgiving. #birds

Yes! It is definitely time for a different approach for the Dems.

An old picture of Elon Musk and David Sacks, in which both look oddly different from the images we've become accustomed to in recent years, in ways that are too unsettling to even describe here.
we saw you from across the bar and we really dig your populism, can we buy you an election?

Great news, everybody. We've released a change which allows you to turn a starter pack list into a feed.
You can also use it as a base list of allowed users for any feed. You could even block everyone on a starter pack if you really wanted!
First, grab the link using the buttons circled below.

Important, breaking news: affable, relatable couple (who doesn’t agree that all couples should have two homes?), moves to France, don’t learn the language, and somehow don’t make loads of friends or find out where to buy fresh produce. I have so many questions!

Thank you, @emptywheel.bsky.social for sharing this! The move to this app from the other one has been so refreshing. Useful information. Bird photos. Interesting discussion. And thus far no random fascists or tech billionaires taking over my feed! And thanks to @numb.comfortab.ly for the lists!!

A lovely Stellar’s Jay near the Santa Cruz Mountains. Sorry, this is the best I could do without climbing a fence. #birds

100% this. There are so very many other reasons to dunk on Trump that don’t involve sacrificing decency or harming others.

This is on point. I’m very liberal, and having grown up in very red Utah, and lived in very blue Illinois and California, the minority party is usually too toxic to meaningfully compete or advance even very popular ideas, and the majority party manages to avoid true accountability.
