I like to think Priorche's color schemes for the Princesses were decided with the same philosophy as the Japanese traffic light
"green" = "the bluest shade of green" = blue = Ripple
yellow = yellowest shade of green = neon yellow = Meteor
red = red = Zeal
"pink" = pinkest shade of purple = Neige
I think it's gonna be hard to care for the villains this time cuz I love everyone in the Precure side more ๐
Even Cure Arcana Shadow will most likely eventually switch sides and probably drop the Shadow from her name, or replace it with "Arcana Light" or something.
Guita's melodic voice really makes a whole world of difference. Cuz Nijee feels more brutal and dangerous compared to my loser brat, yet Guita's smug aura makes me crazy about him.
They seem to have a similar role of having an emotional side that makes them cling to life.
I hope what Nijee implied about having "no future" if he doesn't defeat the Precures will be explored sooner than later.
Cuz part of what frustrated me about Pri0rche is the deliberate avoidance of info to produce a mystery, and most of the time, I feel like I'm the only one who even cares.
I feel weird that I'm not thoroughly invested about this as I want to be...
the villains look like they're gonna have some interesting lore, but I don't get the cocaine addiction I get from BandSnatch from this group.
the forced drama in Tanpre ep 5 is worse than the one in Pri0rche, but the resolution in Tanpre ep 6 feels better.
I'm also having a similar problem where they're not curious about their enemies' motives, but it's been 6 eps so far so hopefully they'll get there soon.

I don't think Sleeping Beauty needs to have its romance aspect to be developed like a romcom.
It's a movie that's directed like a ballet and follows a simple fairy tale formula, and it executes that concept flawlessly.
Most attempts to make it realistic misses this point.

Aurora was heartbroken after finding out that her simple happy life has been a simulation all along, and she's not even happy to be a Princess. She loved her normal life with her 3 mothers.
I actually think that's a lot of unspoken development for her character.
The imagery is also just deliberate.

>Maleficent = the devil
>only the fathers are prominent parental figures
It just fits neatly as a Catholic movie even if it's not ๐คทโโ๏ธ
They are plot device, yes, but the plot revolves around their actions. Even without development, the other characters are active only to push the two into their designated roles: Maleficent tempts Aurora to touch the spindle, and the fairies guide Philip to save Aurora.
I never felt like the romance between Aurora and Philip was ever questionable because I grew up Catholic and this couple always just felt like they were meant to be paired together like Adam and Eve, and that's probably why there's not much development between them.

What they did with Nacchi is sincerely everything I wanted Miku to have. She should've been friends with the entire team as their grounding anchor, so when the Shem-Ha plot happened, there would be more weight in saving her than just "she's Hibiki's gf so we have to".
