Happy faces, kissed by the spring sun, after a successful judicial study visit at the MPI for Social Anthropology!

Big thank you to all participating judges who let themselves be inspired by the beauty of anthropology and embraced the challenge of rethinking asylum decision through that lens!

I’m honestly surprised to see major international law conferences being held in the US are still advertising the events as if nothing is happening. At this point, it is clear that bringing in those working in int law/human rights, esp those who aren’t citizens, is a serious risk.

She Was Faulted in Her Divorce for Refusing Sex. A European Court Disagreed. (Gift Article) A French court had ruled that a woman had violated her marital duties by not having sex with her husband. The European Court of Human Rights condemned that decision.

There goes that meddling European Court of Human Rights again, sticking up for women who want to decide for themselves whether or not to have sex πŸ‘‡
