Ojalá esa "casa" del mañana de la que hablaba Gibrán sea un país y una economía donde la juventud puede ser capaz de ver posible la compra de una vivienda asequible y de avanzar en el trabajo, en vez de sobrevivir un sector privado que funciona cual gerontocracia y un sector público los ignora.

Y que aunque no interesen, ya que los jóvenes registran las tasas de abstención más altas, atacar estos problemas directamente, es la mejor manera de preservar un crecimiento sostenible en el país. Y así conseguir reactivar una juventud bien formada que se merece poder tener esperanza en su futuro.

Que entiendo la furia por los Airbnb y el turismo masivo en España. Entiendo la furia y la apatía contra la corrupción. Pero estas realidades están creando una asimetría de capital y poder adquisitivo que exige intervención fiscal y laboral.

El año pasado, la rama de investigación de la Caixa @caixabankresearch.bsky.social ya publicaba que de 2002 a 2022 la riqueza neta de hogares de menos de 35 años bajó un 72,7% y la de los mayores de 74 años aumentó 98,7%.

Esto profundiza la desigualdad patrimonial, dejando que la riqueza se concentre en generaciones que llevan años acumulando.

Este factor, combinado con un sistema de distribución que favorece en su mayoría a la tercera edad mediante un sistema de pensiones que paga más que a los trabajadores y ejemplos como abonos de transporte para jubilados gratuitos en la mayoría de ciudades, viajes descontados con el IMSERSO, etc.

Este poema me hace pensar en la situación actual en España, donde la tasa de riesgo de pobreza o exclusión social entre los jóvenes en 2024 era la más alta en la zona del Mediterráneo Occidental, situándose en un 26,7 %, a diferencia de Portugal (18,6%), Francia (24,4%) o Italia (25,6%)
