Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

Despite warnings from the law enforcement not to attend today’s No Kings rally after this mornings shooting of Minnesota lawmakers with the killer on the lose, the No Kings Rally is happening at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul.
People are so into this they're doing a reverse march back to where they parked. I estimate this crowd at a lot of people.
It was a satellite event in northeast Minneapolis that was canceled due to shelter in place orders. Not the large event in St. Paul. That is still happening. Along with other small satellite events across the twin cities.
The news isn’t being clear about this but to people hearing about these Minnesota shootings: Melissa Hortman is the Dem leader in the Minnesota House and was Speaker of the House 2019-2025. She’s probably the most influential state-level Democrat barring the governor.
If you were planning to attend the No Kings rally in NE Minneapolis, it is canceled due to the manhunt for the terrorist who has shot two DFL lawmakers in the northern suburbs. Be safe, all. ❤️

For years I’ve been thinking, “if people just understood that XYZ benefits everyone, then they’d support that!” But actually, a fair number of people actively DO NOT want the best for EVERYONE. They only want the best for themselves.
At my big age, it’s pretty embarrassing to admit that I only just realized that not everyone ultimately wants the best for their fellow citizens. It turns out that A LOT of people actively wish harm on others. They’re genuinely not looking for equality. They want someone to step on.
Target, in a way, is manifesting the same problem as the Democrats -- giving away parts of what people liked about them or wanted from them in order to appease an audience that doesn't like them at all or doesn't want them ever, no matter how low they sink, no matter how noisily they obey.
I can definitely think of a different way I’d define this “syndrome”. And I still wouldn’t bother to legislate it. This is such bizarre behavior. What clowns.
