Accepting my depression as a chronic illness has been really helpful when the sads come, but it’s still so hard to not spiral into self loathing when I get triggered by dumb things. I want to write a novel about overcoming that feeling but I probably need to figure out how first.

Do You Even Know Me? is one of those picture books that has stuck with me the most of all the titles I read this year. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to check it out! 📚👍🏻 #ClassroomBookADay

I definitely think silly books need to exist, but there’s certainly nothing that qualifies ME specifically to write them.

Kidlit friends: how do you decide your story needs to exist in a published format? I’m trying to move out of my writing paralysis but I’m struggling with the why. I can write a good silly story, but so can so many other people.

I was followed by 6 new people today and so I googled myself to make sure I hadn’t done anything of note lately. I haven’t. 😅

I started reading (audiobook) SIMON SORT OF SAYS by @erinbowbooks.bsky.social and it has been a long time since I enjoyed a kid book because of brain chemistry reasons but it’s already SO GOOD. It seems the world knows this because it’s a Newberry winner but in case you didn’t. Obsessed.

I am currently making English muffins for my planned breakfasts of the week because past me is a JERK. You can BUY ENGLISH MUFFINS, LISA

📚👍 You may never look at the ducks in the park the same way again....Just don't feed them....that's a real warning! This book is sure to be a hit with the read aloud crowd! Even my 20-yr-old son got a kick out of it, LOL
