At this level of post process I think I should just call myself a digital painter... an unrepentant one.

Had the honour of having a piece of mine included in a group show at the Royal Alberta Museum. It was part of a neuroscience exhibition!

walking along this building in high contrast light with my half frame camera and a roll of fomapan. It developed very low contrast but it was amazing how much detail was on the negative that I could pull out in post process. the black line is likely a crack in the film. it was -20ºC...

Nothing shines a light on tech-reliance than a sudden and complete computer failure. Sitting twiddling your thumbs without access to photography is strange. How did we do this pre-1990s? Probably just took walks and talked to other human beings. I was healthier when my peak tech was a discman.

Also - a bit outdated (can you say that about 2019?) but incredible read. deleted all my phone apps. went on a photowalk with new photographers in the city instead.

Let’s be honest… I don’t understand the math. But just scanning through questions like why light takes on shapes of their source rather than the aperture they pass through or how reflections differ based on angles and different mediums… fascinating #minnaert
