If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you check out Off Season on YouTube
It's a BTS of a typical off season for 5 Pro tennis players. Its insightful and exactly what I wanted Netflix to do
Fronted by Chris Eubanks, directed by Anastasia Folorunso
Whilst this ATP Finals feels like another inevitable countdown to a Sincaraz final, at least we're getting a lot of great entertainment on the way there, more so than most other events this year
Agreed!
Aryna Sabalenka is the common denominator in all the best rivalries in Women's tennis right now. Whether she's playing Swiatek, Gauff, Rybakina or Anisimova you know it is a must watch event! You have to play your best to beat her and that produces elite encounters with the best in the world
Love it when a match delivers. The rematch was great but the result remains the same.
Aryna Sablenka is into the finals of the Year End Final.

WTA MATCH OF THE WEEK
Lots of hype for Paolini vs Bencic and I agree. It was a real thriller. Clear winner this week
Is Valentin Vacherot the most surprising Masters 1000 SFist ever???
Love this story, outside the Top 200, came through qualifying and from a small country, beating some tough players in brutal conditions.
WTA MATCH OF THE WEEK
It's between Gauff vs Fernandez or Anisimova vs Paolini for me. Both Competitive and exciting from start to finish.
Other nominees
Lys vs Jovic
Gauff vs Bencic
Pegula vs Kostyuk
Anisimova vs Muchova
Kartal vs Andreeva
Noskova vs Pegula
Amanda Anisimova is the China Open Champion!
She has another 3 set victory this tournament and solidifies her year as a top player. She told us back in Charleston her goal was to be back in the top 10. Safe to say she exceeded those goals.

Carlos Alcaraz played an unbelievable final. He maintained such a high level, served so strongly, got every ball back with interest and had so much energy. Sinner had to play at his very best to compete and only found it for short stretches. Still great highlights from both
Also didn't do this for USO First Week but pretty confident the best match from that was Gauff v Tomljanovic (Eala v Tauson close second!)
Probably still match of the tournament given no other match had anywhere near as much hype
I didn't see it sadly
WTA MATCH OF THE WEEK
A few 3 set matches to enjoy. Leading contenders:
Krejcikova v Townsend
Sabalenka v Pegula
Anisimova v Osaka
I'd go with Anisimova v Osaka but it's pretty close!
Honourable Mention to Osaka v Muchova but will always go with a 3 setter.
β
Coco Gauff (Roland Garros)
β
Iga Swiatek (Wimbledon)
β
Aryna Sabalenka (US Open)
the WTA top 3 all hold grand slam titles this year
I donβt want to hear anything about how the WTA has no consistency, these women each hold multiple slam titles in a very competitive tour!
& the best is yet to comeπ«Άπ»
Then got tight in the last game
Saba Saba Sabalenka π
Letβs be real she needed that and she played so well this final. She defends her title and wins her first grand slam of the year. π
The match was not a classic but great womenβs tournament in general.

Amanda Anisimova has a tremendous upside to her game. She produced much of the best tennis we've seen this US Open, including for stretches of the final. If she can consistently demonstrate in a final what we've seen in quarters and semis then she'll 100% win a slam
I actually think this has been Sabalenka's best performance in a major final. Didn't do much wrong
Aryna Sabalenka takes a season defining title at the US Open. She was solid against an up and down opponent, not afraid to take on the pace Anisimova was throwing at her and took the opportunities presented to her hungrily. Some of her winners added to the pace. Best in the world
Itβs another Sincaraz Final.
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz
They have met in 3 different Grand Slam Finals this year. They are in a league of their own. Separated from the pack. For now, itβs just Two.

Statement made!
Amanda Anisimova has rewritten her story and head to head against Iga Swiatek. After a devastating loss at Wimbledon she turns things around at the US Open and is into the semifinals in New York for the first time.
#USOpen πΎ
great slam record for Iga in 2025:
AO: SF
RG: SF
W: W
USO: QF
considering the biggest complaint people had about her last year was that she was a clay merchant who wasnβt going deep at other slams, this is really good stuff.
you did good, Iga Swiatek ππ»
Amanda Anisimova was just too good today. Almost every other shot wowed with determined aggression. Not much Iga Swiatek could do, though she made both sets close. Some of the rallies were awesome. If Anisimova keeps this up, she's unstoppable
@nickcartertennis.bsky.social and @afolorunso.bsky.social recorded our round 3 & 4 round up pod today and it will be out soon and we thought a Czech player would not make it to their quarter final match we just didnt think it would be Marketa. Itβs a shame she deals with so many injuries.
