They happen to be women in WoSo because women in WoSo are very inspiring.

On international women's day:

My biggest inspiration is definitely Michelle Akers. She didn't let a medical condition stop her from being the best in the world.

More recently, I add Briana Scurry, because of how she came back from a terrible injury that almost destroyed her life.

Amazing humans.

She's amazing and I am going to have to extend my Tara phase.

Trin did not have a good day.

Mostly, I think she was fouled a lot and got zero calls.

But, I hope she's not that easy to shake going forward, because NWSL reffing ain't gonna be any better.

If you're wondering whether this ref might be a little biased:

When Colombia twice delayed the game by throwing the ball 20 yards upfield before a free kick, no card was given.

When US delays game by switching free kickers once, yellow card.

Woop. Great placement and and pace on that shot.

I gave Heaps a lot of shit for crummy play.

I stand by my complaint that she dives.

But I think the rest of it may have been on the coach using her wrong. She has been a lot more effective of late.

2nd time keeper is down.

Third time should be mandatory sub (not charged against windows or allocation).
