I work in TV whatever that means now. Cinephile. News junkie. Treehugger. Brooklyn NY. Hating on fascists and authoritarians. I follow tons of folks to grow a great news/culture feed for myself to read, so there.

America simply cannot afford to allow the bandits, propagandists, and sadists whoβve been running this administration to simply slide back into positions of power and privilege from which to plot their next fascist takeover. trib.al/NAfd098

I randomly bought one of those yarn/punch needle kits last month, much easier than any other yarn craft imho... and it had almost instantaneous relaxing effects.

Gee, on Monday he was threatening a 20x escalation to "take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again." It's almost like he has no idea what he's talking about, ever. See: presswatchers.org/2026/03/the-...
Trump promised to lower gas prices. Now, his war with Iran is making everything more expensive.

I see she's joining that group of women destroyed by the pedo patriarch GOP who leaves and starts complaining (without acknowledging how much a part of the problem she is)

I know that modern republicans have abandoned almost any pretense of theological literacy but cmon man, its not like Matthew 25 is buried in some obscure part of the bible.

When White House aides are leaking furiously to the media about how all this isnβt their fault if only someone had listened to them is that usually a sign that insiders are confident the policy is going well
Devastating reporting. Like RFK Jr., Kristi Noem, and Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth is reshaping his department to indiscriminately kill tons and tons of children.
A major throughline of the Trump administration.
After an upset red-to-blue win in New Hampshire, a revised tally:

Number of state legislative seats Republicans have flipped over the same period: 0

Sen. Rick Scott in 2022: βThe buck stops with one person. Joe Biden made your gas prices go up. He did it. He actually did it.β
Scott today, 14 months after Trump took over: "Unfortunately, [gasoline] prices are gonna be up for a while."
My last three reposts are three different ways AI is fundamentally damaging our culture.
Iβve also received six emails this morning all written by AI. Two are scams claiming to be from famous writers who are fans of my work. Itβs exhausting having to wade through slop and scams just to do my job
Maybe - just maybe - they should have stuck to playing computer games.
The high-profile exit left people inside and outside the network eager to understand the backstory. So what happened? Multiple people familiar with the matter told Status that MacFarlane had grown disillusioned with the overall direction of the network under the anti-woke warrior Weiss, who since being appointed by David Ellison in October has sought to put the venerable news outlet on better footing with Donald Trump and his administration. Specifically, MacFarlane was appalled and disheartened by the way the βCBS Evening Newsβ marked the five-year anniversary of the January 6 insurrection. At CBS News, MacFarlane had spent years aggressively covering the attack on the U.S. Capitol. In fact, as recently as Monday morning, as he prepared to make his career announcement, he posted a video on YouTube calling out MAGA forces trying to βrewrite the historyβ of that day by disseminating βlies.β So when MacFarlane saw anchor Tony Dokoupil mark the anniversary with only a 16-second report that embraced a both sides approach to the act of violence carried out by Trump supporters on that day, he was aghast. Itβs not clear whether MacFarlane made his disapproval known to Dokoupil or network leadership, but he did communicate it to some colleagues, and it became known inside the network.
You can devastate a news organization The Jeff Bezos Way, by slashing the budget in half and forcing massive layoffs.
Or you can do it The Bari Weiss Way, by steadily eroding your journalism standards, week after week, so the talented people who can leave, do leave.

Trump truth social post: If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far. Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again β Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them β But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen! This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those Nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait. Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
This is insane, untenable, inhumane language. Journalists everywhere should be sounding alarms. People need to start telling him βnoβ. This has to stop.

What the US News isn't telling you.
The US first line of defense/offense high tech radar arrays, just a few dozen ever built, costing sometimes over $1 billion each, are being methodically eliminated by Iran drones, costing less than a used car.
