This week, Holyrood returns to the Assisted Dying Bill, and it is hard to overstate how significant that is, not only for Parliament, but for people across Scotland who are watching this with hope, fear, grief and, in many cases, very personal memories of how someone they loved died.
The bill passed stage one by 70 votes to 56, with one abstention, and now comes back at stage three.
Scotland's Assisted Dying Bill is about choice, not coercion

Insiders say HS2 was doomed to be a failure before it began. The world largely views the UK's HS2 project as a tale of mismanagement, with it being described as the world's most expensive railway due to spiraling costs (potentially over Β£100bn) and severe delays, it is widely criticized internationally for poor value, environmental damage, and shrinking scope The Public Accounts Committee and experts label it a "casebook example" of how not to run a major project, citing costs that ballooned from an initial Β£30bn to potentially over Β£100bn, making it more expensive per mile than comparable European or Chinese projects.
The scrapping of the northern leg (Birmingham to Manchester) has diminished the project's reputation, transforming it from a national "leveling up" project into just a faster link between London and Birmingham, where business drains from regional cities to London rather than boosting the North.
Compared to France & Spain the UK's infrastructure construction is seen as much less efficient, with tunneling costs significantly higher.
The nations of China and Japan are viewed as far more capable of delivering high-speed rail through dense areas at a fraction of the cost.
HS2, the most expensive railway in the world!

A relation was involved in the tram tendering process. Part of their tender, was a process for dealing with conflict resolution on time, costs etc. He was disappointed, but maybe not surprised, that the council showed no interest.

The next time ferries are mentioned remember WM's Type 45 Destroyers. Original 1999 contract. Β£6 billion for 12 ships. Result: Β£6.46 billion for 6 ships. Planned completion date 2007. Completed 2014. Currently only 3 of the ships are operational.

I am still, stunned, amazed, and shocked, that they would appoint a Social Worker to head the TIE project. At the Holyrood enquiry he even said βI donβt know why I was chosenβ. Until HS2 seized the title TIE was ridiculed around the world as βhow not to run an infrastructure projectβ.

No, but a unionist (Labour, Tory and Lib Dem) administration ran the council. So same level of incompetence.

Among many other examples, HS 2, 'a casebook example of how not to run a major project.' WM a monolithic political structure, utterly incapable of good governance!

In January 2014, Nigel Farage, sparked controversy by describing the UK's strict gun laws-implemented following the 1996 Dunblane school massacre-as "ludicrous".
Let this excuse for a human being explain his views to the family and friends of the murdered children!

THE BBC ARCHITECTS OF THEIR OWN DOWNFALL. Brainwashing for the WM Establishment for over a century, until social media found them out. Let them sell off their news and political sections to an ideal partner like GB News or Fox News and then the BBC could thrive.
