Honestly, I've been working (to some capacity) at cons since the early 2010s, so now I don't know what to do with myself when I DON'T have a job of some sort to do 😅
(shoutout to Iron Clown Studios , I work at his table whenever he's at an event)

I sometimes get asked how I go to so many conventions:
I work at some of them!
You can get a job working for a vendor or artist, volunteer for the con, or apply to be on staff.
All those options can make attending cons more affordable.

I’ve been enjoying her storyline in the comics, and her picture on the cover of Volume 1 of Crimson Reign with this outfit was very eye-catching to me, so I wanted to do this version of her!
There’s a few more things I’m going to add to it, but thankfully I’m going to space those out. 😅

I managed to snag a cropped hoodie from The Kigu Stop that is based on her! So I threw together this casual cosplay outfit.

Honestly, I only stopped bringing her to cons after a prop check worker at a con was messing around with my StrawBell Bell prop & broke it 😭🤬 and so she's been (semi)-retired since then. I'd honestly want to do a few upgrades if I were to start wearing it again...

Every time I wore her I used a different kind of paint because I could never find one that I liked. Plus, I never expected each time to take 4 hours!

Maybe one day I'll find some I like and bring her back...

Do you have any experience with body painting? How did it go?

Her costume is based on the Mystique comics that ran back in the early 2000s. I figured that a black pleather costume had less a chance of getting ruined by blue bodypaint than the white dress you see more often in the comics!
