This is an extremely worrying set of proposals from lobbying groups that have the FDA’s ear. If implemented, it would create a national system for identifying and tracking trans women, pave a path to outlawing diy hormones, titrating prescribed hormones down from bioidentical levels, and more.

I really try not to only post about the horrors trans people are facing, but everyone needs to understand that this is genocide. Your average trans person is basically chronically depressed because society wants us dead. Imagine if the state came up to you and took your medication away
I appreciate my sex. It’s the sex I transitioned to, and I’m proud of that.
What I don’t appreciate is The State.
I find myself wondering, what good does The State even do anymore? Seems like years have passed since it did anything other than take things away from me and bomb people in my name.

There probably should be some organized effort to pull out of red state economies past small businesses and local organizations fiercely defending LGBT+ values, but that effort has not materialized in any way like 2016 North Carolina even as TX trans people have screamed for help since 2023.
To paraphrase, "It is legitimate for the state to use its monopoly on violence to enforce conformity of citizen's bodies and identities."

The courts are lauing more groundwork for banning all trans adult care, by claiming it is discriminating by medical procedure and not by a minority group.

…then is to expand that so that CPS checks on you if your kid was reported as “gender incongruent” at all, to ensure that you are complying with the state-approved position of disaffirming and conversion therapy in response. Anything else, they’re gonna want to take the kids away. That’s my fear.
I get what you’re saying but I don’t think they expect it to work like that, because outing laws are only part of the system they’re building incrementally to block all pathways. We see the component parts in TX and FL, where CPS investigates you if you’re supporting a trans kid. The next step…
