This is an extremely worrying set of proposals from lobbying groups that have the FDAβs ear. If implemented, it would create a national system for identifying and tracking trans women, pave a path to outlawing diy hormones, titrating prescribed hormones down from bioidentical levels, and more.
You can just be a tomboy or a feminine man update:
Iβve had this convo with people who understandβ¦ and those who give me blank looks.
Your national conference, if held in certain US states, is now a regional conference. Adjust accordingly.
And forget international conferences in the US. Those arenβt safe for too many.
Yup. Holding big conferences in these states also feeds them tons of money (the retrograde states are very often high sales tax, too)
Thank you, Mr. Polanski. Today was a dark day for us on both sides of the pond. Sincerely hoping youβll be a part of the movement that eventually leads us back out of this nightmare.
The United States is a country where people believe the government should have absolute control over your endocrine system for the glory of their god, who wants to destroy the world in nuclear fire
THIS IS AMERICA
βCurrently the United States government is pursuing a strategy to impose an alien identity on trans people through hostile laws. When that fails, we can expect β¦ containment involving the criminalization of the entire community based solely on its existence.β

I'm fucking exhausted.
I wish allies were real.
I really try not to only post about the horrors trans people are facing, but everyone needs to understand that this is genocide. Your average trans person is basically chronically depressed because society wants us dead. Imagine if the state came up to you and took your medication away
I appreciate my sex. Itβs the sex I transitioned to, and Iβm proud of that.
What I donβt appreciate is The State.
I find myself wondering, what good does The State even do anymore? Seems like years have passed since it did anything other than take things away from me and bomb people in my name.
"trans people just hate their actual sex" is peak things cisgender people say
STOP.
GIVING.
TEXAS.
MONEY.
Donβt host events in the bigot belt.
There probably should be some organized effort to pull out of red state economies past small businesses and local organizations fiercely defending LGBT+ values, but that effort has not materialized in any way like 2016 North Carolina even as TX trans people have screamed for help since 2023.
To paraphrase, "It is legitimate for the state to use its monopoly on violence to enforce conformity of citizen's bodies and identities."
I continue to be amazed that there aren't more anarchists.
Really dark that they couldnβt stay a law that is so obviously malicious, immediately harmful, violates due process, and which implies an ex post facto determination that previously updating documents legally was actually illegal.
How can we trust courts with rulings this obviously wrong?

I want to inhabit a world where the cis majority and the so-called βrule of lawβ doesnβt hold a sword of Damocles over my neck. Is that even possible anymore in our corrupted democracy?
The courts are lauing more groundwork for banning all trans adult care, by claiming it is discriminating by medical procedure and not by a minority group.
The law bans both rich and poor from sleeping under bridges, yadda yaddaβ¦

I have to hope itβll be like the Levy review, that is, fat short of whatβs needed but not scorched-earth.
I say βhave to hopeβ because if I donβt Iβm going to have a fucking panic attack
β¦then is to expand that so that CPS checks on you if your kid was reported as βgender incongruentβ at all, to ensure that you are complying with the state-approved position of disaffirming and conversion therapy in response. Anything else, theyβre gonna want to take the kids away. Thatβs my fear.
I get what youβre saying but I donβt think they expect it to work like that, because outing laws are only part of the system theyβre building incrementally to block all pathways. We see the component parts in TX and FL, where CPS investigates you if youβre supporting a trans kid. The next stepβ¦

For decades I was taught you canβt regulate shit because of the interstate commerce clause and now republicans just do whatever. Calvinball ass legal system.
Mutilating children: Underwear that safely reduces the appearance of breasts when worn properly.
NOT mutilating children:
Letβs hope it doesnβt come to having to hide us in your attics. But itβs not looking good.
Cis allies are going to need to step up now. Speaking up for us is no longer enough by itself, and many of you struggle even to do that. Now we are at the stage where you will need to buy things for us, send things we need to us, drive us around where our licenses are being revokedβ¦
The fact this was issued as a TRO with no hearing on the basis of a glorified sports bra ostensibly causing imminent medical emergenciesβ¦ itβs just laughably absurd on its face. It comes across as mocking. Ha ha. Look what we can do to youβ¦
I canβt stress enough how much shit like this makes it blatantly obvious that trans people are outlaws now. Our very existence may not be bannedβ¦ yetβ¦ but already itβs clear we are, as a demographic, assumed by courts to inhabit some zone outside of normal protections like freedom of expressionβ¦
