Picked @aptshadow.bsky.social's most celebrated book as my first of the year and just finished the first 3 chaps: the prologue, really. Everything about this opening is done so well. The emotions are strong, the stakes high, the setup solid. Incredible start to the book, and thus, my reading year.

Is Pillars your first Kingsbridge book? I ordered that and the prequel but Pillars was damaged so only have the prequel now, and am unsure if I should start it anyway or wait for Pillars again

There's absolutely nothing to suggest Harris would have made it better. I'm not saying it won't get worse, but Harris has regularly shifted her positions. White Americans love to think how one party would solve everything, but us Easterners would get stomped this way or that. They only care about $$

Voting for Stein? Cause Trump may be worse, but it's not like Biden/Harris didn't fully support Israel and veto multiple ceasefire deals. Everything that has happened so far has happened under the Biden/Harris administration. It may get worse now but it wasn't going to get any better the other way
