You shouldn't have to be pregnant if you don't want to be. And that shouldn't be controversial.

Period positive truths to remember: Affordable access to period products is a human right. Menstrual blood is not dirty. It's okay to rest during your bleed! Periods are genderless and language matters! Period sex can be fun! Talking about periods is NOT shameful. How was your period this month?
When we talk openly about periods, advocate for access to menstrual products, and challenge harmful myths, we create a culture where menstruation is treated with care instead of shame. 🩸✨

More People Are Having Abortions At Home. Here's Who They Call When They Have Nowhere Else To Turn.
Since Roe v. Wade fell, many callers are filled with concern: “If I go to the emergency room, will they call the police?”
MSFC alum Dr. April Lockley has seen a clear shift in callers' concerns since the 2022 Supreme Court decision. Before, many were anxious about how much pain they might experience. Now, their biggest fear is criminalization. www.huffpost.com/entry/aborti...

Texas Medical Students: Abortion Provider’s Canceled Talk Is Dangerous Escalation
Texas Tech’s recent capitulation to Turning Point USA isn’t just censorship—it’s a threat to patients’ health.
Today, we have an op-ed from Texas leaders of @msfchoice.bsky.social, who say Texas Tech’s recent decision to cancel a talk by third-trimester abortion provider @doctorshelleysella.bsky.social in response to a Turning Point USA pressure campaign goes beyond censorship:

Medical education should reflect the care patients actually need.
Future physicians are better prepared to serve their communities when abortion care education is treated as essential. 🩺

Birth control is basic health care. It should be accessible and affordable for every person who needs it.
Birth control SAVES lives. It should never be up for debate.
Most people will rely on contraception at some point in their lives. It supports chronic condition management, pregnancy prevention, and the ability to plan a future on one’s own terms. ✨🗓️

Medical students often seek out their own training in abortion care.
We’re preparing future physicians to provide family planning and reproductive health care.
Patients deserve care from providers who can guide them through all their options.
Abortion training should be a standard part of medical education, but many medical schools leave this care out of the curriculum.
MSFC fills those gaps by providing family planning education and hands-on abortion care training. 💙 #medstudents #abortioncare
