Could be wrong, but you know what I think? Labour will never support another Brexit referendum, because if it did it would have to concede a 2nd Scottish referendum - and they're more concerned at losing that than rejoining Europe.

FT reports France and Italy opening talks with Iran re safe passage of oil tankers.
Unbelievably, the question would have to be asked - "Yes, but would they be safe from USA and Israel?"
Trump in front of emergency workers - Stay back and let me blame someone.
Evergreen.
For allegations of voting fraud, read "We thought we had the fix in..."
I would really appreciate clarity on the children of dual nationals (my 2 grandchildren). They are now "automatically" British, but it is not clear whether they qualify for British passports without paying the Β£1214 Citizenship fee. On their Belgian passports they otherwise require the Β£589 cert!
Looks like he just got surprised from behind.

These new rules are unenforceable. Airlines have no means of checking whether they are/have remained a dual national. And are UK Immg'n really going to prevent someone entering the UK with a -valid- foreign passport? Disrespecting another country's sovereignty...
Prefer to know his DofD.
I'm ambivalent on the monarchy, but no, I don't think it is going to damage the throne as such. Charles has acted wisely putting distance between himself and his brother.
The Police need to make the most of the 1st interview of Andrew Mountnbatten. Why? I can guarantee that he will be represented by an upper echelon lawyer who hasn't the first clue of criminal work. Next time around he'll have different lawyers.
I hope someone has the foresight to let Pizza Hut know he won't be there for the table he'd booked for his birthday.
If he goes to trial only on the matter he's been arrested for, I'd bet there will be "gold" in that unused material. (2of2)
Yes, a similar process of Discovery exists in the UK. As part of that, Prosecution has to hand over to the Defence any "unused" material, ie anything uncovered in the investigation of the offence but not being presented as evidence.(1of2)
Yes, at the moment it's only tangentially connected to (ie revealed by) the Epstein files, but smart questioning (why were you meeting that person, why were you at that place) could open up alternative lines of questioning on "other" offences.
Couldn't help myself. 8s 4d

It's the Trump playbook. Ignore laws that get in the way of your objective. Any action will lag behind, and if the candidate wins, the penalty won't involve overturning the "democratic" result.
"Not me. A big boy did it and then ran away".
I take your point. The seeds of fascism in UK are being sown - and funded by hidden players - so the danger to us, if there is a putsch in USA, is high. On the other hand, revulsion to events in USA might see off the fascist wannabes in UK. But I agree. PR is an essential and urgent safeguard.
I could see a (shaky, but) defence v a Treason charge - eg acting as a whistleblower; or a "sincere belief" that he was acting in, not against, the Country's interest. But I'd say Misfeasance in a Public Office is nailed on, so I'd go for that. (BTW Devonport Dockyard still has a working gallows).
Bbc2 is showing a programme, Lover, Liar, Predator echoing themes from Epstein files.
I'd like to hope this is a subtle and conscious scheduling decision. BBC 2 tonight....
Isn't it obvious? Bangs.
Pro-tip. If you subscribe to Amazon Prime and their algorithm pushes a film into your "Recommended" list, Then pressing "more details', then hitting the "thumbs down" symbol will remove it. Suspect they are going to be promoting some real crap soon.
Is USA on the verge of devaluing the Dollar? All the signs seem to be pointing that way.
Self-important Tories, *all* believing they are potential Prime Ministers in a Reform Government. What could possibly go wrong?
Et, en Grande Bretagne, sous Farage.
For those who might miss the specific reference, this is Trump pissing on the graves of the British servicemen who died in Afghanistan. Good moral judgment by the Sunday Times to carry Morten Morland's cartoon.
This is not going at all to plan. The white people were supposed to applaud and cheer while only the brown and black people were murdered.
Appalled by what's happening in USA. Frightened by the *certainty* the same sick people exist in UK and our electoral system could put them in power.
Well done LibDems, but I suspect the collapse in the Greens' vote is their anti-NATO stance. Not a sensible space to be occupying.
