And I was no longer writhing in agony because I’d had just enough pain killers to bring it under my threshold. But I was so pale that like ten different people commented on it separately.

Gotta love medical gaslighting. It’s all just a load of bullshit. I may not be a medical professional, but I know when something in my body is WRONG. Like realllly wrong. They kept going back and forth as to whether I had an infection for a bit because my white cell count wasn’t high ~

But I keep getting treated like a fucking hypochondriac when I push to stay longer in hospital to ensure I’m okay to go home. I have a PHOBIA of hospitals. It seriously fucks with me. I don’t want to be there. But obviously I’m here for a reason because the management at home has been appalling.

Yeah. Like I get that they want us up and moving but I use crutches to get around for a fucking reason. I’ve been lucky that the surgical site itself hasn’t been significantly painful, but apparently my fibro was “mimicking” sepsis when I went in last week barely able to move.

When Akri had expressed two weeks ago that they were concerned about infection, they were told they didn’t know what they were talking about and that it wouldn’t happen. Cut to a few days ago when I was likely approaching sepsis and the same doc was like “oh look it’s infected” 3/?

I’ve now got a vac dressing on that got blocked a day and a half in because the discharge is too thick and is likely to be an ongoing problem, but no nurse came to change it today because the hospital didn’t tell them they had moved my follow up with my doctor to a different day. 2/?

Further ranting:
I’m 3.5 weeks post op and I was supposed to be finished by now. At least with the main bulk of the healing. Instead I have an open, infected wound on my ass that makes everything difficult. I’ve been in and out of the hospital with doctors dismissing my and Akri’s concerns. 1/?

Tiny rant:
Just because a lot of my disabilities are invisible does not mean I don’t need significant help with recovering from the many complications of this surgery. I’m tired of being treated like I’m trying to take advantage of the healthcare system when I’m just asking for help I NEED.

Some of you are aware, but I got surgery a few days ago and I’m doing well with recovery. (Not a fun surgery, a necessary one). AND OMG ITS SO ITCHY IM GONNA DIE. NOT TO MENTION IM GOING STIR CRAZY.

One day I’ll get back to streaming when I’m allowed to sit up again.
