In total, over 250,000 young people from across the country have signed up to learn more about running and gained access to RFS’s resources since the organization launched.
Since its founding, RFS has helped elect over 1,600 candidates across the country — including 43 candidates in red-to-blue seats in the 2025 election cycle. RFS has the largest database of any Democratic organization, with nearly 80,000 people since November 2024 with interest in running for office.

Amanda Litman and Ross Morales Rocketto launched Run for Something in 2017 with a simple premise: help young, diverse progressives run for office. They remove barriers for candidates by connecting them to organization building, a robust community, and training access.

I’m also proud to share that I’ve been endorsed by Moms for NC, a grassroots network supporting women running for office across North Carolina and advocating for common-sense gun safety.
That makes this endorsement incredibly meaningful. Their mission is to support the next generation of leaders stepping up to serve their communities, and I’m honored to be part of that movement.
It was actually pretty simple:
No one else was stepping up to run, and I couldn’t let the incumbent go unopposed.
So I filed.
It wasn’t until after filing that I realized something funny — at 39, I barely qualify for a Run for Something endorsement. 😅
When I was younger, I used to see candidates get endorsed by Run for Something and think, maybe someday I’ll apply and run with them.
But when I decided to run for NC House, it wasn’t part of some long-planned path.
Childcare can cost as much as college tuition in North Carolina.
