Oil prices wouldn't be all over the news today if more of our economy was powered by local, secure renewable energy.

This isn't an "energy crisis". It's a fossil fuel crisis.

44% of UK electricity came from renewables in 2025. More of that plus an electrified economy => no more oil shocks.

It is

so
much
cheaper/efficient
(for the whole community)

to build a #solar farm, #wind farm, #geothermal plant

than depend on thousands of individuals to install rooftop solar.

How many individuals can afford to do this at scale? Your tax dollars can.

We can bring energy costs down together.

Shutting down #green energy projects is one of the most ridiculous political choices unless you see how it enriches the rich.

Benefits of these projects:
-energy independence
-very low production costs
-no smog!! ( #asthma )
-eventually pay for themselves

-lower energy bills to look forward to!!

Step 1) Remove #GreenEnergy investments both in people's homes and in public projects like #RevolutionWind

(i.e. projects that increase 🇺🇸 #energy independence)

Step 2) Burn 🛢️ fields, driving up prices.

Step 3) what???

Who is winning here? Oil barons. They're the only ones who benefit.

Instead of spending $50 billion to bankroll Trump’s criminal war on Iran, we could:

-Extend ACA subsidies for one year
-Restore SNAP benefits for 2.4 million people
-And ensure Medicaid coverage for nearly 2 million people

It’s not about what we can afford. It’s about priorities.

Obviously the broader culture is not in a good place but it's heartening that television keeps returning to one of the eternal storytelling themes: Padma Lakshmi imperiously striding into the room and demanding that you make her a delicious treat.
