Quick prints for super fun Valentine's Day giveaways. My son brought a set for his whole class and he said they wore them all day! It fits on an MK4 bed.

This "Valentine Box" will certainly get the attention of his friends when my son takes it to school.

My son is working on his "Valentine Box" for school this week. We designed these "Arcade Game Parts" for it. After printing, I realized the joystick could be slightly modified for filament swap printing, so I did that too! See comments.

I designed these for an elementary school class project where students' individual models won't physically link together, but they should be connected in groups. They can use these trays for displaying their work to show the relationships. New model at Cults3D. Link in my bio. @cults3d.bsky.social
P.S. I fully admit there could be a simpler solution than what I created, but I built my proof on what my 9th grade honors math students know at this point in our class.
I don't know whether I had more fun nerding out while creating this challenge problem for my students or while writing up a 41-step proof of its solution! π #MathIsFun

With my recent flurry of sales, I crossed over $7,000 in total sales on Cults3D. Another milestone! π

I added two more tile shapes to my new "Revolutions with Shape Tiles." The Calculus teachers in my department are starting solids of revolution this week and are eager to use these with their classes. π

The other printed parts turned out SO cute, that I guess I am going to have to post them on Cults3D after all! I wasn't planning to do so when I started on this project with my son. The joystick and buttons don't move, but they printed very well! @cults3d.bsky.social
Unfortunately, the print cracked on one side. It printed this way. My theory is that my @sliceworx.com build plate stuck to the bottom so well that when the print warped, it broke away from itself. I used older, non-high temp filament. Should still work for this project though!

Illustrate 3D surfaces of revolution with 2D shapes. Designed for a hands-on approach to a topic some have trouble visualizing. The same base works for all six included tiles.

Conversations with a colleague led to these demonstration models for her class. Her students are having a difficult time seeing how a cylinder and cone come from rotating a rectangle and triangle, respectively. Her paper attempts were not working well. Post coming soon. @cults3d.bsky.social

Hi, @geektoybox.com! I mention you in the article (above) as providing inspiration for the technique I used for printing a surface with contours. Your "gradient" prints of the fidget cube gave me the idea for how to easily do this. Thanks!!

Digging through our #Protopasta 50g coil collection, we found 6 coils of "thermochromic" colors. We knew they would be perfect for our handheld fidget valentines! Each coil was just enough for three sets of posts and caps. Middle hearts are Hatchbox color-changing. π€π @cults3d.bsky.social
My son was today years old when he learned that #3DPrinting a sphere is not an easy task. Fortunately, by request, the one he promised his classmates has a hole in the bottom for their project. #GoodEnough π
2/2 The top surface on this #Protopasta Rose Gold is the softest I have ever felt on a 3D print. It's like cotton. π€― I don't know whether it's the filament or my new E3D ObX 500 nozzle or the combination of the two, but WOW!
