As for shading, look up hatching techniques. It's a great way to give sketches depth.

I think I might go more "Bladerunner" femme fatale, for the Simstim Star role art. I originally drew a very traditional reporter, but this look seems for fun and flavorful.

I've added a touch of cyberpunk noir to my game (Bladerunner vibes)
I found out through experimentation that a highlighter makes excellent shadows and shading after scanning and converting to gray scale.

Thank you. I am excited to release the adventure on DriveThru. I still need to play-test and finish some locations. So it's probably going to be a couple of months still.

I drew my city, Mirage City, for my adventure setting. It took two sheets of paper and a lot of me telling myself, "don't let perfection be the enemy of the done," as I made some mistakes along the way. I combined them in GIMP and slapped it on the cover.
